SBI launches six digital banking branches as a part to offer next generation banking services to it's customers.The new branches are located at Delhi,Bangalore,Mumbai,Chennai and Ahmadabad. One of such branches in Delhi was inaugurated by Finance minister Arun Jaitley.
The bank has engaged Accenture to develop digital business strategy for its program.
2.IDBI bank launches mobile banking service.
IDBI introduced mobile banking service to it's customers, that enables customers to meet all banking needs such as fund transfer, bill payment,DTH/mobile recharge and much more.
3. India announced new liberal visa policy for Afghanistan nationals.
India announced a new liberal visa policy that allows Afghanistan nationals to stay in India on stay visas for a period up to 2 years of time.Besides Afghanistan nationals below 12 years and above 65 years of age are exempted from police reporting.
4.Google to shut down 'Orkut'.
Google decided to shut down it's first social networking site 'orkut' from September 30, as it has lost space to its rivals. Orkut was launched in 2004 as a result of '20 percent project' which Google workers got to spend a fifth of their time on ideas not necessarily related to their job responsibilities.
