Nandan nilekani resigned as chairman of unique identification authority of India ,earlier he had joined Indian National Congress. He is all set to contest the coming Lok sabha polls from Bangalore South
2. Indian Archers won 2 gold & 1 silver in Asian archery Grand Prix
In the first edition of Asian Archery Grand Prix,Indian archers won 2 gold and a silver in team events. The event is being held in Bangkok from 10 to 16th march.
3. Exim Bank of India extends line of credit of $ 90mn to republic of Congo.
The Export Import Bank of India will extend a line of credit of $ 90 mn to the Republic of Congo for development of transportation system in the country.
4. Ban on Oil giant BP lifted.The US on 13th march lifted the contract ban imposed on BP which is the third largest oil company in Europe,this will make the firm eligible for bidding government contracts. The ban was imposed as a penalty for 2010 gulf of mexico oil spill,the worst in the history of US.
