1.18th SAARC summit to be held in Nepal.Kathmandu,the Capital of Nepal will hold the 18th SAARC(South Asian Assosciation for regional co operation) summit from 14th November,date is subjected to approval from member nations.
SAARC is now having 8 member nations viz India,Maldives,Nepal,Pakistan,Bangladesh,Bhutan,Sri lanka and Afghanisthan.

Polling at your finger tips service launched in Shillong,Meghalaya.Under this service voters will recieve details of their polling station,timings and date by sending and SMS to 9856066666.The move by the state election commission hopes to bring more voters to polling station.
6.BHEL to set up 120 MW hydel project in Uttarakhand.
Bharat heavy electrical limited(BHEL) will set up a 120 MW hydro electric power project in Uttarakhand.They signed a contract of 125 crore with Uttarakhand Jalvidyut Nigam Ltd for their Vyasi Hydro electric project .The contract include design,manufacture,supply,installation and commission of hydro generator sets and associated works.
